Things to Do in NoDa

Start at the 36th Street station or the crossroads itself. North Davidson Street carries the murals, Charlotte Studio Artists at 3045, The Evening Muse at 3227, and restaurants including Haberdish, Cabo Fish Taco and The Goodyear House. East 36th Street has the Neighborhood Theatre and The Chamber by Wooden Robot.

How long it takes depends on how many stops you make. Check each address against a current street map before setting a route; this guide's map is an orientation diagram, not a navigation tool.

Add a show at the Neighborhood Theatre or The Evening Muse, a meal at Optimist Hall in Optimist Park, or a visit to Queen City Art on Raleigh Street north of the district. Time a visit to the third-Thursday Culture Crawl if you want to see galleries open in the evening.

Most music shows and taproom events are evening programming. The Evening Muse says most of its events are all ages, but age policies are set show by show.

The NoDa events guide lists events confirmed by their organizers. For everything else, the Neighborhood Theatre and The Evening Muse publish show calendars, breweries publish weekly events, and the NoDa Neighborhood & Business Association lists neighborhood events.

Hours change, venues close and new ones open. A quick check of the venue's own site on the day you go is the single most useful planning step.

The 36th Street station puts the crossroads within reach of the Blue Line, which connects to Uptown and UNC Charlotte. Sidewalk conditions vary by block, and older curb cuts on side streets are uneven, so check your route if you use a mobility aid.
