About this guide

Discover NoDa is published by Nicholas and Miriam Peters as part of their portfolio of real estate, homebuilding, interior design and related websites. It is not an official neighborhood association or City of Charlotte website. There is no shared parent company behind the portfolio; each business and website stands on its own.

The Peters businesses

Seven businesses named on this site are connected to its publishers: Peters Custom Homes, Peters Signature Homes, Emerald & Oak Design, Peters Audio Video, Peters & Associates (at yourleaderinluxury.com and, as the Peters Team, at petersteamrealty.com) and Peters Signature Travel. They are not independent recommendations. Articles mention one only where its service answers the article's question, and a service is never presented as right for every property.

The portfolio collection

The Beyond NoDa page lists the other websites in the Peters portfolio. Links in that collection and in the repeated site-wide services menu carry rel="nofollow" as a conservative choice. Inclusion describes a shared publisher, not a third-party endorsement.

Other businesses

Restaurants, venues, buildings and other businesses outside the Peters portfolio are described for readers' use. None paid to appear, and we do not publish ratings or listings.

How we source information

Facts about property, zoning, schools, transit and history are checked against the primary public record: Mecklenburg County parcel and assessor data, the City of Charlotte development ordinance, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the Charlotte Area Transit System and the state and county historic preservation offices. Each guide lists the records it relies on, and answers name the specific record to verify against. Where a fact changes often — school assignments, train schedules, business hours — we point to the official source rather than freeze it into the page.

What we do not publish

We do not publish property listings, prices for individual homes, ratings, reviews, awards, invented events or first-hand visits we did not make. We do not credit Peters businesses with projects in NoDa unless the project is documented. Maps on this site are approximate orientation diagrams, not surveys.

Automated and AI-assisted writing

Journal entries are drafted with an AI writing model and published on a schedule only after automated checks for length, structure, internal links and banned claims such as travel times, seasonal observations and unverified business changes. They contain no interviews, quotes or personal visits. Guide pages are edited by the publishers.

Advertising and sponsorship

No business has paid to appear on this site. If that ever changes, sponsored or hosted content will be labeled clearly on the page where it appears, and it will never be presented as independent editorial.
